Your top-class nautical event on Lake Constance

The hotel's own motor yacht «Emily» is modelled on the style of the legendary wooden yachts of the thirties. Typical elements of the Belle Epoque were used for its construction. The result is an atmosphere that is both inviting and elegant. In an incomparable setting, you celebrate a very impressive cruising experience on Lake Dreiländersee with a maximum of 54 guests per trip.

M.Y. Emily's possible uses

Charter for an event in a private setting:

  • Aperitif trips
  • Banquet cruises (for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, etc.)
  • Captain's Dinner Cruises
  • Rouge et Noir (evening trip with a visit to the casino in Bregenz or Lindau)
  • Trips to Friedrichshafen with a visit to the Zeppelin Museum
  • Trip as escort ship to the sailing regattas

The following events are advertised annually by Hotel Bad Horn and places can be booked individually:

  • Bad Horn Bregenz Package

  • Aperitif and dessert cruise on 1 August, Swiss national holiday
  • Visit to the Interboot trade fair (with breakfast on the outward journey and quiche Lorraine on the return trip)
  • Fairytale trips in November (aperitif, four-course menu and exciting stories)
  • Midnight trip with fireworks on New Year's Eve
  • Breakfast trips in February

About your event

Menu consultation

The requirements regarding menus, drinks, seating arrangements, technical tools, etc. must be notified 14 days before the event at the latest. We would be happy to help you with this. We advise making an appointment for a consultation to discuss the details about 4 to 8 weeks before the event, tel. +41 (0)71 844 51 51.

Menu selection

Our "Emily" motor yacht has a galley in which we finish and arrange meals prepared by our hotel kitchen. For this reason, the banquet offer is limited and it is not possible to serve à la carte. Thank you for your understanding.

Menu cards

are printed by us free of charge in the form of the current Bad Horn menus. For special design requests or colour printing, we charge a minimum of CHF 2.- per menu card, depending on the level of detail.

Seating

We would be happy to discuss the ideal seating arrangement with you.

Table decoration

The standard decoration on the tables is a tealight with a rose in a glass. For safety reasons, no other candles may be used. For special table decorations, we are happy to recommend local florists or to organise suitable flower arrangements against payment of a fee.

Musical entertainment

On request, we will gladly provide you with details of various musicians and artists. Please note the height and size of the passenger cabin.

General Terms and Conditions

Contract

The banquet contract is legally valid with the signed reservation confirmation. Please take note of our general terms and conditions.

Licensing rules

The bar closes as soon as the «Emily» has docked in the hotel harbour. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to serve in the harbour due to licensing rules. You can, however, enjoy the rest of your party at the Hotel Bad Horn.

Advance payment

After the menu consultation, we will charge you the menu price multiplied by the number of people. If the amount of the invoice is not credited to our accounts at least 7 days before the date of the event, we will cancel the event. We regret that the sum of the invoice will remain payable as a cancellation fee

Number of people

For banquets, the exact number of people must be communicated at least 24 hours before the event. Deviations of more than 5% in the number of participants confirmed until 24 hours before the event will be charged in full. This applies to booked hotel rooms as well as to booked menus and flat-rate fees.

We also ask you to inform us at least 24 hours before the event about the number of vegetarians, guests with special requests (no fish or meat), requests for gluten-free food, etc. We would like to point out that no menu changes are possible once you're on board!

Cancellation for events on the M.Y. «Emily»

Up to 90 days prior to event  no charges
89 to 60 days prior to event  25% of the cost of the arrangement
59 to 30 days prior to event  50% of the cost of the arrangement
29 to 7 days prior to event  80% of the cost of the arrangement
Later  100% of the cost of the arrangement

A definitive booking for an event must be cancelled in writing

An arrangement is understood to be the menu and trip price or package flat rate price multiplied by the number of people attending as per the definitive booking confirmation. If no menu / flat rate was selected, the fee is charged at CHF 150.- per guest.

Price details

During shore leave, the harbour dues will be charged at a flat rate of CHF 60.-

Any price adjustments and changes are reserved.

Important additional information

Smoking / Sparklers

For safety reasons, smoking is prohibited in the passenger cabin. The rear deck is the only place where smoking is permitted.

The use of sparklers or similar items is strictly prohibited in all areas on board. Staff instructions must be followed. Wax candles may only be used with candle holders. No liability is assumed for fire or material damage. Any damage to furniture and equipment, in particular to the floors, will be charged to the party.
